Meet the Exporter is back for a fourth year to provide growers with the opportunity to explore their local port and understand the logistics required to export large amounts of grain. The events will once again offer BASIS points and new for this year will be the opportunity to meet with members of the HGCA Market Intelligence team.

These free, informative events will give you an up to date insight into what is currently happening in the global market, impact this will have on growers and the importance of UK cereal to overseas markets. The event will also include:

Behind-the-scenes look at export logistics: guided tour of the port and lab testing facilities to see the requirements for exports
Dialogue between grower and exporter: open conversation to understand overseas customer requirements
Learn about HGCA Exports : chance to gain knowledge on their work overseas and the export classifications ukp and uks

Last year’s events attracted over 120 delegates, 87% of which were growers. The feedback showed that growers found the events very informative and relevant to their businesses. Many had not previously visited a port and the overriding take home message was consideration of the export markets for variety choice and marketing their grain.
