Advice and quality services

Honey Pot Lane is the company`s main analytical laboratory and is the only merchant UKAS (United Kingdom Accreditation Service) accredited laboratory in the UK. No other grain company meets these very high standards of accuracy.

Openfield also has laboratories at Bressingham and Ridgeway, and most central stores operate laboratories that subscribe to the Openfield Proficiency Testing Scheme (OPTS). This verification service ensures consistent standards across all of our facilities and is also used by some other stores, merchants and some consumers.

All Openfield locations offer a wide range of testing services, including Oven Moistures; Specific Weight; Reference Method Dumas Nitrogen and Protein (only available at Honey Pot Lane & Camgrain); and Infratec Moisture, Nitrogen and Protein. We are also a full member of the trade assurance scheme (TASCC). Our quality control procedures and product traceability therefore provide our consumers with the quality and food safety assurances they require.
