Kindly hosted by KE & JM Watkins this is an excellent opportunity to see and discuss the latest winter wheat, and oilseed rape varieties grown in large strip trials under standard farm practice. Alongside this, there are several SFI mixtures on trial.

The day will also include informative talks and demonstrations from our working partners. Attendees will have access to a moisture meter calibration clinic, alongside the opportunity to meet and speak with local machinery dealers attending the event.

• Bacon Rolls and Refreshments on arrival from 10:00

• Morning crop walk: 10:30 – 12:30

• Hog roast lunch and drinks provided

• Afternoon crop walk: 13:30 – 15:30.

We’re excited to announce the Openfield Variety Demo Day 2026 on Monday 22 June, hosted by Openfield, with BASF and Horsch in attendance.

Kindly hosted by D S & J E King & Son, the event will showcase the latest winter wheat varieties in large strip trials under standard farm practice, with BASF covering cereal, weed and disease control, plus updates on the cabbage stem flea beetle research project + project in OSR crops.

We will also be joined by seed breeders KWS, Limagrain, Syngenta and DSV.

NRoSO and BASiS points will be available on the day.
