Duncan Worth is the fourth generation of the Worth family to farm the alluvial silts at Holbeach Hurn in South Lincolnshire. The business now comprises not just farming but also vegetable packing and trading (mainly potatoes) in the guise of QV Foods.
After working for Tesco’s and Compass Services, Duncan came home to the family business in 1995, taking a number of roles from operations to general management before becoming Chairman of QV Foods and Chief Executive of the family business AH Worth. The business farms over 5000 acres, has a turnover in excess of £140m and employs over 500 employees. A recent addition to the site is a 1.5MW Anaerobic Digestion plant fed on maize and vegetable waste.
Outside of the day to day business, Duncan is a director of Manor Fresh and Lingrain Storage and Chairman of South Holland Internal Drainage Board. He also sits on the Board of the Association of Drainage Authorities (ADA).
